All entries must be registered on-line. This will be required for all exhibits and exhibitors that are entered in the fair. If you don’t have access to a computer, then the library is your best option. There will also be a computer available for use at the fair office during normal business hours.


Register on-line through Monday prior to the fair (one week). This does not guarantee space.
This department is located under the Grandstand.

Bring in entry: Thursday prior to Fair - 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Pick up entry: Sunday after Fair - noon to 3 p.m.

The Open class Photography Department encourages all ages and abilities to display their work at the Fair. Please share your photo for our community to enjoy during the Fair.

  • No photo can be mailed or emailed in for entry
  • On-line entries are still required to be brought in at the times listed for the department. An on-line entry does NOT guarantee a space if the available space is full when you arrive.
  • Original prints produced within the last 12 months and not previously shown at the Northwest Washington Fair are eligible.
  • All work must have your name, phone number and age on the back of the mat.
  • No frames, glass, plastic wrap etc. All photos must be 8 x 10, placed behind a mat frame (no cardboard, foam core, etc.). All photos must be family friendly.
  • Two entries per exhibitor, each exhibit must be in a different class.
  • General rules of the fair are to be observed. No entry fee will be charged, and no free admission will be issued to the Exhibitor.
  • The judge will be an artist, teacher, or critic of established reputation in the field of photography.
  • Photography entries must be picked up Sunday after the fair from noon to 3 p.m. After Sunday release time there is NO Security available and on Monday the building will remain open for cleaning.
  • No entry can be removed early, removal of entry will result in a forfeit of your premium and a one-year suspension in the photography department.
  • It is the responsibility of the artist to inform the department if the photograph has been digitally altered (computerized: digitally altered other than resizing and resolution).
  • No work shall be advertised or priced for sale.

*Definition of Digital Manipulation Photo - Heavily processed photo that includes but not limited to HDR, ORTON, selective color, objects that have been removed or added to a photo etc. MUST INCLUDE - Description of what was done to "digitally manipulate" the photo. Must be on a 3x5 index card and attached to back of photo
