Educational Exhibit Coordinator

Job Title: Part-Time Educational Exhibit Coordinator – Farming for Life Experience

Location: Northwest Washington Fairgrounds, Lynden, WA

Job Summary:
The Northwest Washington Fairgrounds is seeking motivated individual to serve as the Educational Exhibit Coordinator for the Farming for Life Experience, an engaging and interactive educational exhibit. This part-time position is funded for one year and focuses on organizing, promoting, and enhancing the exhibit’s educational impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate educational programming and activities within the Farming for Life Experience.
  • Collaborate with educators, community organizations, and industry professionals to enhance the exhibit's reach and effectiveness.
  • Organize and oversee field trips, workshops, and events to engage a diverse audience, including schools and community groups.
  • Work with Marketing coordinator to promote the Farming for Life Experience through marketing and outreach efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and local partnerships.
  • Act as a liaison between the Fairgrounds and community partners to foster collaboration and support for the exhibit.
  • Track and report on participation metrics and feedback to evaluate the exhibit’s success and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of educational practices and experience in program development or teaching.
  • Proven ability to organize and promote educational events or initiatives.
  • Enthusiasm for agriculture, education, and community outreach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time position, with a flexible schedule to accommodate events and outreach activities.
  • Funded for one year, with the potential for extension based on funding and performance.
  • Pay is dependent on experience.
