New Farm Pavilion

The Northwest Washington Fair Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of an agricultural education center housed in the new Farm Pavilion at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds & Event Center in Lynden.

The Farm Pavilion will be a two-level, approximately 26,000-square-foot building that replaces several of the older structures near the primary Front Street entrance to the fairgrounds.

The building will include space for the year-round display of the award-winning "Farming for Life Experience", according to Lynden berry grower Brad Rader, who is leading the fundraising effort.

"We need to highlight the importance of agriculture in our community year-round," Rader said.

Over 50 local businesses, individuals, and organizations have raised over $4 million for the completion of the Farm Pavilion. Now, Phase 2 of the project begins, where an additional $2.5 million will be raised to complete the state-of-the-art Farming for Life Experience exhibit. Construction of the exhibit is set to begin following the 2019 fair and be completed in time for the 2020 fair.
