Entries can be placed on-line or forms are due in the fair office by July 25th. If July 25th falls on a weekend, entries will be accepted in the fair office on the following Monday without penalty. Late entries will be charged a fee of $25.00 per head through July 31st. After July 31st late entries may not be accepted. All exhibits must be in place by 9 a.m. Monday of the fair.
- Each 4-H member will be allowed a maximum of four animals. In case of shortage in stall space, 4-H members with the most entries will be cut first.
- All animals must have a double tie at night. No baling twine or wire.
- Beef ownership must be established or contract written and dated by May 1 and be included in record book.
- A respiratory complex vaccine is strongly recommended 4 weeks prior to the fair.
- No animal will be allowed to compete for more than one premium, nor shall be entered in more than one class, except as one of a herd.
- Only blue and red ribbon winners in 4-H are eligible to enter Open Class Beef classes.
- 4-H may enter Open Class provided there are a minimum of ten open class cattle per breed or two exhibitors.

JUDGING: Will be done on a club basis three times each day. Club stalls will be judged during the entire fair, up to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Judging will be based on condition of animals, cleanliness, attentiveness of exhibitors, arrangement of club, and stall and educational decorations.

* Entries are limited to Whatcom County 4-H clubs only.
* Clubs exhibiting seven or more beef animals of one breed will be required to show four animals of that breed as a herd.
* Clubs exhibiting less than seven of a breed will be required to show two animals of that breed as a herd.
* Premiums of $8.00, $6.00 and $4.00 will be paid to clubs for first, second and third place herds of four animals.
* Premiums of $6.00, $4.00 and $2.00 to first, second and third place on small herds of two animals.
* All animals shown by any club must belong to members of that club, but can be held by any member of that club. Leaders may aid club members in setting up animals in the rings.

WESTERN STATES ANGUS AUXILIARY TROPHY
The Western States Angus Auxiliary, 13106 Reiner Rd., Monroe, WA 98272, will award a silver trophy to the outstanding 4-H Angus exhibitor and/or to the outstanding FFA Angus exhibitor. The selection of the winner is to be based on show ring placing of individual animals, placing in showmanship, and in cooperation with the fair management. This is open to exhibitors with one or more breeding and/or market animals. It must be kept in mind that the purpose of this award is the promotion of the Angus breed. The winning of the auxiliary trophy in previous years shall not exclude an exhibitor from winning again. The judge of the Junior Beef Show will be asked to make the selection of the winner.
WASHINGTON STATE LIMOUSIN ASSOCIATION
Dennis Andrews Memorial Steer Award
These awards are available to 4H, FFA, and youth division entries at designated shows. Savings bonds of $100 will be awarded to the exhibitor of a Limousin-influenced on-hoof Grand Champion Steer and/or Grand Champion Carcass Steer of 4H, FFA, and youth divisions. The Steer must be of 50% or greater Limousin breeding and exhibit Limousin characteristics. If an exhibitor wins the grand championship, they must contact a WSLA officer listed below for an information packet. This packet must be completed by the exhibitor and mailed back within 45 days of show.
