OPEN CLASS ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED WITH A 1ST, 2ND, OR 3RD PLACING.
4-H & FFA MAY ENTER AND WILL ENTRIES BE JUDGED BY THE DANISH SYSTEM.

1.     All entries are to be the work of the exhibitor. Superintendent has the right to accept or refuse any entry.

2.     Entries can be placed on-line through Monday prior to the fair (one week).  All entries will be accepted between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday before the fair. On-line entries must still be brought in during these times.

3.     Entries may be dropped off at Apple Yarns, 1780 Iowa Street, Bellingham, WA 98229 or NW Handspun Yarn, 1401 Commercial Street, Bellingham 98225 (360)738-0167 by noon the Thursday prior to the Fair. These entries must have an entry tag attached to each entry and be clearly marked with the DIVISION, CLASS, and LOT number they are entered in. Entries without this information will NOT be judged. Exhibitors with large or numerous entries are encouraged to deliver their own items during the Friday entry times (see #2). The Northwest Washington Fair, Apple Yarns, and NW Handspun Yarn are not responsible for items left at this location other than to hold them for transport.

4.     Exhibits must be picked up Saturday of the fair from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. or Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. On Monday the buildings remain open for cleaning and there is NO Security available.

5.     No entry fees will be required and no free admission will be issued.

6.     Any wool item completed in the last 2 years and not previously shown at the Northwest WA Fair is eligible. No kit items. All articles entered must be handcrafted - acceptable methods are weaving, knitting, crochet, felt, and other fiber processes. (Class B needs to be handspun by exhibitor

7.     All entries must be at least 75% of any combination of animal fiber, ie… Wool, Alpaca, Mohair, Llama, Angora, etc.  Remaining 25% can be other fibers.

8.     All entries will be Judged and Exhibited. Emphasis will be on quality, originality, design, intended functions, and in the case of garments-drape and wear ability.

9.     Include hanger or other suitable method of displaying with your entry. All containers or other related items used to transport or store entries should be clearly marked with the name of the exhibitor and description of item.

10.   One entry per lot. Attach 3X5 card WITHOUT YOUR NAME for the judge, describing fiber content, if class project/original design, briefly anything you fell may be pertinent to the creation or end us of your item.  We recommend using a computer/printer for doing this

11.   Limit of 12 entries per person depending on space availability.

DO NOT TIE FLEECE. ROLL FLEECE AND PLACE IN LARGE CLEAR PLASTIC BAG.
MUST BE SHORN DURING CURRENT SHEARING SEASON. Identify breed.

A Best of Class will be awarded in each Division for Lots 1-3 and 4-6.
