The purpose of this department is to demonstrate the value of hobbies as an aid to education and art, as a means of preserving historical background, and for the development of craftsmanship.
Entries may be made on-line until August 6th or on entry day Saturday preceeding the fair between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. only.
- Each entry will be judged on its merits as a hobby and points to be considered in judging include: execution, originality, study, possibilities of development, educational value and general appeal.
- The general rules of the Fair are to be observed.
- No entry fee will be charged and no free admission will be issued to the Exhibitor.
- HOBBIES THAT HAVE BEEN SHOWN BEFORE MUST SHOW MARKED PROGRESS IF ENTERED AGAIN.
- THE SUPERINTENDENT MAY LIMIT THE SIZE OF COLLECTIONS ACCORDING TO THE ROOM AVAILABLE. Superintendent has the right to accept or refuse any entry. (Judged by quality, not quantity)
- Matches must be removed from match collections.
- On-line entries still require the item to be brought in on the day and time of this department. On-line entries do NOT quarantee a space if the department is full.
- Special policing of the Hobby Department will begin Monday of the fair. The Fair Association will not be responsible for loss or damage to articles left on display. Starting on Monday after the fair, there will NO longer be security available for items not picked up at release time on Sunday.
- Hobbies must be picked up Sunday after the fair between noon and 4 p.m. NO ENTRIES will be released early, doing so will result in a forfit of premuim.
- Best of Division, Best of Class, Best of Lot and Best of Show will receive rosettes. Daily Viewer's Choice will receive ribbons.
- Adult Division exhibitors must be under sixty two, Junior Division exhibitors must be under sixteen and Youth Division exhibitors must be under ten as of July 1 of the current year.
- Lot numbers to be determined by superintendent.
- Superintendent will close the department when space is full.
- Limit of 3 total entries. Only 1 collection per person with 2 other catagories. Collection needs to be arranged by person entering.

62 years old and over 10 through 15 years old
DIVISION 2 – ADULT DIVISION 4 - YOUTH
16 through 61 years old 9 years and under
CLASS A - COLLECTIONS
For collections of not less than five objects representing the hobby of the exhibitor. Collection should be grouped according to families, groups or natural divisions and be labeled in a clear, readable manner.
