Entries can be placed on-line or entry forms are due in the Fair office by July 25th. If July 25th falls on a weekend, entries will be accepted in the Fair office on the following Monday without penalty. Late entries will be charged a fee of $10.00 per head through July 31st. After July 31st late entries may not be accepted.
- Animals will be shown by breed. No crossbred rams to be shown.
- Limited to seven animals per exhibitor, not limited to one entry per lot. In case of shortage in stall space, 4-H members with the most entries will be cut first.
- Animals shown in market classes will not be eligible for show in breeding classes.
- All sheep must wear an ear tag or tattoo uniquely identifying them.
- Ownership must be established or contract written and dated by June 1 and be included in record book.
- Must show in Fitting and Showing in order to show in Type.
- It is recommended that all lambs born after September 1st of the preceding year have a liftable tail dock. This means that the tail should be docked at the distal end of the caudal folds and no shorter.
- Showmen should wear dark pants, western style shirts, and leather boots or shoes.
***IMPORTANT NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS REGARDING SCRAPIE ERADICATION***
All sheep and goats, except castrated males, must have official USDA National Scrapie Eradication program-assigned flock identification number. This may include a tag, tattoo, or microchip (with reader provided by exhibitor or written proof of microchip). Unmarked animals will not be allowed to stay at fair.
DIVISION 26 - SHEEP

CLASS J - CLUB HERDSMANSHIP- to be entered by the Club Leader only
JUDGING: Will be done on a club basis three times a day. Each club shall consist of not less than five animals. Awards will be handed out on Saturday afternoon. Judging will be based on condition of animals, cleanliness, attentiveness of exhibitors, arrangement of club, stall, and educational decorations.
